So y’all already know from yesterday how much I love this stamp set, but did I mention, the dies are super cute too? Check out the adorable tag on this card. Super cute, right?! Not only does the die set for this bundle cut out the cute little animals, their gifts, and party hats, but it ALSO cuts out super fun tags and banners! Now that’s a versatile deal right there. **
I just can’t get over how cute these little guys are!
Ok, lets get started. First, you’ll want to cut out all of your pieces.
- Bermuda Bay:
- 7.5″ x 5.5″, score at 3.25″
- Birthday Bonanza DSP:
- 1″ x 5.5″ (right side of card)
- 3″ x 5.25 (left side/front flap of card)
- Whisper White:
- 3″ x 5.25″ (inside of your card)
- Approx. 2.5″ x 4″ (to cut your tag)
- scrap to stamp/cut your party hat pieces
Now, let’s get Stamping! Stamp your toucan onto the bottom of your tag using Memento Black ink. Use Grapefruit Grove to stamp his beak. Stamp the hat in Bermuda Bay and the ball of the hat in Mango Melody. Cut these pieces out with your dies (or fussy cut if you don’t have the dies set). The sentiment is stamped using Bermuda Bay.
And because cards are more fun when the inside is pretty too, lets stamp that as well. I used Mango Melody for my lion’s body and Grapefruit Grove for his mane/tail. Stamp his face with Memento Black. Again, I used Bermuda Bay for my sentiment. If you want to use this as a congratulations card, simply leave off the birthday sentiment. Now, isn’t that much more festive?!
Finally, we get to assemble this bad boy. Glue your 1″ DSP strip on the right side of the “inside” card base. Center your Whisper White piece on the inside. For the front of the card, glue your DSP. Attach the hat and ball to the toucan (I used glue dots for this so I didn’t get glue all over me and my card). Tie your ribbon to the top of your tag. Now you can add your tag to the front of the card using dimensionals.
And of course, you know I love my bling! Lets add a few Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins to the front of our card.
Ta-Da! A super fun card for any upcoming celebration.
