We love dogs around here. We’ve had dog almost my entire life. Mom and I tend to call all dogs “puppies”. Big dogs, small dogs, young dogs, old dogs….they’re all puppies to us. Out on Bus Visistation with our Associate Pastor’s wife one day a giant dog walks up to us on the porch. She has no idea as she’s knocking on the door. I turn around see this giant dog standing up past my waste and proceed to say, “Hey Puppy!” while petting him. She turns around, “That is NOT a puppy!” Well…in my book he was. lol
Anyway…needless to say when I saw this product suite in the new catalog, I knew I HAD to have it. It’s at the top of my wishlist. I’ve not put in my order (YET), but my friend came for a play day and brought her new goodies over. This card is a result of our play day. 🙂

I started with an 11″ x 4.25″ Card Base scored at 5.5″. I then added a 4″ x 5.25″ sheet of Playful Pets DSP to the front.
Cut your tags using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies using Whisper White and Real Red Cardstock. Stamp your sentiment to the left side of the Whisper White. Adhere the white on top of the red. Add to your card base with Dimensionals letting the right side hang off the card. Trim it down to the size of your card.

Stamp your dog on scrap Whisper White. While you’re at it, go ahead and stamp him onto your envelope and to the inside piece of your card (4″ x 5.25″).
I used blends to color my dogs: Gray Granite, Basic Black, and Real Red. Cut the one dog out for the front of your card.
Now the fun part. I wanted to use the cute little trinkets that are part of the suite and that little heart is the PERFECT size for a dog tag. To create my own “3D” collar, I used my Paper Snips to cut from the edge of the paper up to the edge of the collar. (Pic Below) This gave me somewhere to wrap my ribbon around his neck! Put the trinket on your ribbon and then use good ol’ fashioned scotch tape to adhere the ribbon to the back.

Adhere your puppy to the front of the card. Adhere the inside piece and you’re done!
Quick, Easy, and SUPER CUTE! That’s my kinda card right there!
