We love cute little critter cards. I know, that’s probably hard to believe after we oohed and ahhed over the Bonanza Buddies stamp set earlier this week. Try to contain your shock. 😉 Today we’re using the Little Ladybug Stamp Set. Ladybugs are lucky…how could we NOT like them?
As part of Stampin’ UP!’s #SimpleStamping campaign, I’ve come up with this cute little card. We’ve used cardstock, stamp set, ink, colored pencils, and of course a little bling (you know, we love our bling).
To start with, you’ll want to cut the following pieces:
- Basic Black:
- 11″ x 4.25″, score at 5.5″ (this is your card base)
- Whisper White:
- 4″ x 5.25″ (x 2 pieces: 1 inside & 1 outside)
Stamp your images & sentiment onto your white cardstock using Staz-On Jet Black Ink. Stamp the inside piece as well…remember, we don’t like empty card insides.
Using watercolor pencils, color your images. To blend and soften the pencils, I used the blender pen on top of the pencil. It just smooths it all out and blends your shading together. I also chose to trace around the edges of my images with a light blue pencil. Just kinda made the images pop a bit.

Glue your white pieces to the front and inside of your cards. Add a little bling. Don’t forget to decorate that envelope! And Bam! You’re done. How easy was that?!
