Stellar Birthday

Today’s card features the super cute Stellar Birthday Stamp Set! (The little dog is my favorite!!!) I made this card for a special little boy’s 1st Birthday.

To start you’ll need a card base of 8.5″ x 5.5″, score at 4.5″ to fold in half. I used Night of Navy Cardstock.

Next cut a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″. Die Cut the circles using the Picture This die set. Emboss using the Tasteful Textile 3 D Embossing Folder.

Cut a piece of Basic White to about 3.75″ x 5″ (you want it smaller than the Night of Navy piece, but big enough to extend past all your circles.) I then centered my Night of Navy piece over the Basic White and lightly traced the circles with a pencil. This lets you see where to stamp and/or place cardstock/DSP.

Stamp your images. You may need mask off some areas to keep from stamping within another circle. Color your images. (I prefer using our Stampin’ Blends. Some of the colors are used are listed in the supply list below). Add some DSP over some of your circles. Adhere the Night of Navy with Circle Cut Outs layer to your white layer with Dimensionals. Adhere the Basic White to your card base.

For the banner I stamped on a piece of Basic White using Granny Apple Green. The strip is .5″ high and needs to extend past the top layer of your card. One you glue it to the top layer, trim off your “tails”.

And of course, you’ll want to stamp/color the inside of your card (and even the envelope), to add some more fun.
